Why is self-care important to me?
Seeing my mother struggle to walk after a stroke was painful to watch. Even harder for all of us was when she wasn't able to join in family celebrations. I believe stress was a contributing factor in her illness.
My father lived to 103 and his mind was still sharp! I believe his thirst for learning, reading, playing chess, and curiosity for all things tech (had to have the latest iphone and ipad) kept him thriving.
While working a demanding job, raising two daughters, and caring for aging parents, it was hard to find the time for self-care. Once I made a commitment to myself, I gradually added more and more habits into my day.
Mastering my morning created a strong foundation. Instead of jumping out of bed, jumping in the shower, jumping into the car, I now am master of my morning and “ease” into the day. I developed healthy habits so that I had the energy to take care of my family.
Now that my parents have passed and my daughters are grown and out of the house, I am focusing my energy to help YOU live a life with vitality, strength, and energy to take care of yourself and your loved ones.
